Re: What I had in mind
Inspired, Inki.
I would just change the second "them" in paragraph 2 to "her".
( It's that grammar thing, I can't help it.)

Good you saw it, Janet, it slipped by me, even when I reread it just now. And usually I'm the stickler around the forum...

Re: What I had in mind
It's difficult as there is only so much you can fit in a text message and I don't always get a reply so don't know if she gets them or not. Text messages go to Zanizbar too you know
Of course I try and keep her updated, but I don't even know if she got her piece yet

Re: What I had in mind
Would you give me her number, I could call her?
I'll send you a text message right now to see if it works, ok?

InKi, I love your little "story" for the note.
Beware, the Moo is dangerous with that mobile phone of hers.

Re: What I had in mind
I passed on the number to Alanna but she couldn't get through either. I know Dragonlady will pass on messages if necessary but I also know that DL is very busy right now and that is why she didn't join this forum as it would take up even more of her time. If Alanna has no luck today (Friday) in contacting Cyanure I will email DL in the hope she will have chance to speak with Cyanure over the weekend.

Re: What I had in mind
No news yet, I'll try again tonight and let you know.
Edit: I got a text message from Cyanure this afternoon. She#s very much stressed with crazy hours on the job and now heading off to a wedding. She'll call oen fo "the girls" tomorrow to get an update. I assume she's thinking of Dragonlady and Livel there. I'll try to get hold of her again tomorrow.

Self-proclamation doesn't confer one any legitimacy, though.

Ask Shawna then. She'll provide references.

Re: What I had in mind
Letter hath been written, observed changes made too...
Ink was written with some ink a Hower sent me, and the pen was a Hower gift too. Gah!
Hanger done....
Dedication hammered into the back-
We have left her 'multiple' hanging options. There's hooks for a chain in the top that can be removed and leave invisible holes if she'd rather leave the 2 back flat hangers.
I just stuck a note in the bag of hardware assuring her all pieces had been pre-tested, how to use them, and she could figure out what she preferred.
She can have it against the wall or out a bit, it's perfectly balanced and solid.
Wrapping it up now for mail tomorrow.
With normal mail, it SHOULD be there Friday. There is Veteran's day on Tuesday, so that might slow things down.
We'll see.

Re: What I had in mind
Nice work Inki Can't wait to see it with a few danglers attached to it, and I can't wait to see Cyanure's reaction when she sees all this < I just hope she gets an internet connection soon
Re: What I had in mind
Yes we'll have to try getting a message to Cyanure via Dragonlady or Livel I think, I have sent several text messages and had no replies, Alanna tried to call her and got no answer and now of course Alanna is away for a week. I'll see what I can do when I get home from work

Fantastic job Inki! *grabs a tissue to wipe tears*
I meant to call Cyanure last week but some worries of my own prevented me to do so (don't worry nothing serious, just life, you know).
She tried to call me tonight but I wasn't there and afterwards I forgot my cell phone in my bag. I'll try to call her back tomorrow and I'll let you know. I know she probably was very busy and exhausted last week since it was the first week at the brand new shopping centre, you can imagine the stress.

Re: What I had in mind
Livel, do you know if Cyanure got her piece? I have sent a few messages but not had a reply so I don't know if the messages got through or not
When you speak to her please tell her how this project is progressing, I really wish she was here to see how it has grown,

Re: What I had in mind
I've just had Cyanure on the phone. She got her piece rather quickly but forgot to send you a message to tell you. She says she's very very sorry but she's totally stressed out and exhausted because of work, she's really at the end of the rope. She's working in terrible conditions right now, as usual they wanted to open the new shopping centre before being ready and the employees are paying for that.
I translated Inki's text to her, and described to her the pieces done so far as best I could. She was really moved by what you people have done so far (she might have been wiping a tear or two I think), and very pleased at the project's progress and she wishes to thank all of you for you commitment, especially Graeme&Jools and Inki.
She hasn't completed her piece yet by lack of time but tomorrow is her day off, she'll maybe have some time to think and work on it but I told her not to worry, she has to rest first (she's afraid of being the last to finish her piece). I told her that since she was the first to have thought about it she had the right to be the last to finish it

Re: What I had in mind
Thanks Livel, I think I'm having problems with my mobile, it won't get through to Graeme's phone now either
Tell Cyanure not to worry, I think AJ and Rosie will take a little longer as they have just moved and Rosie has exams and stuff to deal with too. Also Biinha hasn't got her piece yet and one piece went missing It was only going to Scotland to Findy but it didn't arrive so I have to send another tomorrow
I hope things settle down for Cyanure soon, send her some hugs from me please
((((hugs))))

Thanks for the update, Livel.
For the record, I still haven't started working on my piece either - although I have the design planned out.

Re: What I had in mind
Mine is sketched, but not painted. #2 finished his and Woe is me! His stupid mother didn't explain sufficiently, so he did it with the holes on the sides! I'm going to use my piece to redrill his holes in the right place relative to the picture and spackle the old holes. I hope it works well.
I feel such a fool.
BTW, be careful what you post in the other forum. Adrianna mentioned sending "the package to Carol" in the illness thead. That'll make her wonder.
But, i guess she'll be getting the hanger soon, so it won't be a secret anymore.

Re: What I had in mind
Adriana, doesn't know about this project yet, Canuck Girl had the same thought as you Janet and PM'd me this morning. I asked only people who were regularly on the forum first and others are being asked as and when I have time to deal with it. We have 30 pieces out there somewhere now. If we ask anyone else to join I have to go for more primer and mdf as all the pieces have been sent that we made in the first place
But yes Carol should get the hanger soon and she'll realise something is going on
