Re: Here's What I Created.
I've just finished mine, I finally decided to make something on a piece of watercolor paper as the differents essays I did on the tile didn't much worked out.
hope this works... I put the file on Photobucket, don't want Carol to fall on the image on worpress...

The scan was faithful enough to the colors but I still had to photoshop it a bit for more accuracy, so this is pretty much the true colors here.
Any idea of what kind of glue I should use to stick the piece of paper to the tile?
ooh inki those bunnies idea is wonderful! And your family deserve extra hugs for involving themselves so much into this!! XOXO

I used watercolour paper too and I used double sided sticky tape to fix it to the tile, it's what I use for all my cardmaking

Remember to give her a translation of the message with the piece.

Oh wow! You people have outdone yourselves. This is going to be a great gift.
I can only repeat our "mantra" "what a great forum"! I am amazed by the love that can be found among howers.
I promise I will make my piece as soon as I can, so I will be ready to send it when we get Jools' signal!

Zowie!! These are wonderful (like a patchwork quilt)! I've got mine figured in my head...just need to get it down on paper. Will probably make on watercolour paper & glue it on. I'm guessing fabric glue or craft glue will do fine. I'm planning something humorous anyway.

Most glues should work fine, we used the double sided craft tape as it's acid free and should not mark the paper (I only used paper on the back and painted direct on the front.
Nadine, your piece is nice and colourful, I'd be tempted to miss out the translation (it would give Carol something to do for a while working it out

Re: Here's What I Created.
Alrighty, here's what I made. It's meant to be silly and hopefully bring a smile.
I hope you can see what it's supposed to be. It is square but when I took a photo it made it look a bit wonky. I used watercolour pencils on wc paper, sprayed with fixative and glued it to the square with craft glue. I'll write something personal on the back.

How much of a slacker do I feel? Findy not only received her piece today, but finished it as well.
Findy, I think it hits the humor bit on the mark. I got a good chuckle out of it.

OK, that made me laugh. Though we usually abreviate that soft on your bottom kind of paper TP. I've never seen it used for art beyond "decorating" someone's house and yard with it.

Whoops! haha I just didn't bother to spell out watercolour (paper) twice... but what's wrong with using toiletpaper to do watercolours?

I've never tried to paint on toilet paper, but I guess it's absolutely not thick enough, and will react like blotting paper
